Research in the Web 2.0 age can be a lot more efficient if supported with apporpriate tools. The following is a map of the Web 2.0 tools I use to support this process. There are many tools available, however these are the ones that I have found to work well together and to give me (mostly for free) the best support.

Scirus - Scientific Search

Scirus is the most comprehensive scientific research tool on the web. With over 370 million scientific items indexed at last count, it allows researchers to search for not only journal content but also scientists' homepages, courseware, pre-print server material, patents and institutional repository and website information.
